Audio-Technica's Personal Mix Conrol gives each performer a lot more control over what he or she chooses to hear in their earphones. Here's one example of how you might use Personal Mix Control: You can create a mix of the band (less vocals) using auxiliary buss #1 on your mixing console and a mix of just the vocals on auxiliary buss #2 of the console. The two auxiliary outputs from the console are then connected to the IEM transmitter. Each performer has an IEM bodypack receiver. By turning the receiver’s balance control to the left, the performer will hear more vocal in both ears; by turning the receiver’s balance control to the right, the user will hear more band mix in both ears. The built-in limiters on the receivers protect the wearer from loud audio peaks.
