Sennheiser's Evolution wireless products have now evolved from G(eneration)2 to G(eneration)3.
What's changed?
As far as this model, the Sennheiser ew112PG3, is concerned, there are several major upgrades. First, the frequency bandwith has been increased to 42MHz (previously 36MHz). With the increasing saturation of the RF landscape, this is a significant increase in bandwith. Secondly, the portable receiver now has a type of diversity reception. Called "adaptive diversity", it cleverly uses the line output cable as a second antenna. This is designed to greatly reduce the chance of signal dropout.
Another improvement is the addition of battery contacts on both the transmitter and receiver making it possible to use rechargeable batteries and to charge them without removing the batteries from the devices. (Requires #BA2015 rechargeable battery unit and L20152 charging station with NT1-120 power supply.)
These changes should continue Sennheiser's leadership in the ENG wireless and videography worlds.
