Epiphone 1951 Zenith Archtop
Item: USEPITRIUMPH
One of the original Epi models, the Zenith was introduced in 1931, and remained in the catalog under Gibson manufacture until 1970. Originally sporting a diminutive 13" body, the Zenith was upsized twice to it's final 16 3/8" body design. Unlike the Gibson archtops of comparable size, the Zenith and other Epi guitars all had long scale necks, thereby enhancing their formidable projection and bark.
This Epiphone Zenith features a single bound 16 3/8" wide body with sunburst top and dark-stained laminate maple back and sides. The neck is a three-piece lamination, sunburst finished, with a scale length of 25.4" and a nut width of 1-5/8". Individual Grover tuners, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, nickel tailpiece, pearl headstock inlays.
It is in very nice original condition and comes with the original soft shell case. An excellent playing and sounding archtop that won't break the bank account.
