Passive Ribon Microphone
Item: CLJRS34PASSIVE
The Cloud JRS-34 Passive Ribbon Microphone was named in memory of Jon R. Sank (1934-1998), and designed by his son, Stephen. Stephen's father was Harry Olson’s successor at RCA. Jon Sank designed the BK-11, a direct descendant of the 44 series, and other world-class ribbon microphones for RCA. When RCA abandoned it’s microphone division, he left with a lifetime of tools and knowledge which he passed on to his son, Stephen. The Cloud JRS-34 with modern appointments such as Cinemag transformers and neodymium magnets, takes the next evolutionary step in the immortal BK-11 and 44 series microphone design line. Today, Steve and his wife Cynthia continue the family tradition of developing quality hand crafted ribbon microphones.
