Pre-Owned Gibson 1959 Byrdland Sunburst
Item: USGIBSONBYRDLAND59
In 1955 Gibson introduced a fancy thin body electric guitar based on the L-5CES. With the thinbody, short scale version of thei most popular jazz guitar, Gibson had made one of the nicest and easiest playing electric hollow body guitars. It features a 17" wide and 2 1/4" deep body, rounded Venetian cutaway, and carved maple back. Starting in 1957 the guitar was equipped with humbucking pickups.
This 1959 Gibson Byrdland has 2 great sounding origanal "PAF" humbucking pickups, original frets, tuners, and all electronics. It is in very good condition showing normal wear for an instrument that is over 50 years old now. The guitar has the original brown 59 hard shell case that has seen better days. The Byrdland will ship in a newer Black hardshell case along with the original.
