The T5-S is an electric/acoustic that defines the hybrid category. Today, the versatile T5-C1 is a top-selling semi-hollow body guitar, and the only one that uses all-magnetic pickups for both its electric and acoustic tones. That means real acoustic tones, real electric tones, and everything in between. The Taylor T5 features a fully hollow body and an active soundboard with a compound radius. The T5 also features proprietary Taylor pickups, a 5-Way switch, and a Taylor T-Lock neck joint. Gold hardware sets the tone for the T5-S in the form of the tuners and pickup hardware. A figured maple top meets up with the sapele body, while artist inlays run the fretboard. Taylor wrote the book on straight, easy-playing necks. Taylor's innovative T-Lock neck joint brings Taylor's trademark consistency and comfort into the T5 player's hands.
