Taylor LKSM Leo Kottke Signature Model 12 String Acoustic
Item: TOLKSM
Back in the day, Leo Kottke almost single-handedly revived interest in the 12 string guitar. But, it wasn’t until 1990 that he got together with Bob Taylor to design one of the most celebrated and popular 12-strings ever made. Taylor’s LKSM incorporates tropical American mahogany back and sides, a Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood binding, and special bracing with a Jumbo body shape. Rosewood binding and a thin band of green purfling add subtle accents, while the inlay-free fretboard is profound in its simplicity. Leo uses a slightly customized heavy 12 string set of Elixir strings and tunes down to C# for that rumbling, throaty piano guitar sound he so famous for.
