Taylor is launching 2013 in a big way with the presentation of the 918E Grand Orchestra. Master luthier Andy Powers has miraculously redesigned the jumbo acoustic guitar, the first new Taylor-specific body shape since 2006. The new Grand Orchestra 918E has incredible bottom end but with less body mass of the traditional Jumbo and the clarity and volume of a grand piano. This is definitely Taylor’s biggest, most complex voice available to date. The new Grand Orchestra is Taylor’s biggest, most complex voice available to date. With a 4 13/16” body depth, and a 16 3/4” lower bout, the 918E is especially braced to be responsive to dynamic attack, and is incredibly balanced for a big-bodied guitar. The new Grand Orchestra model is just a glimpse of great things to come from Taylor Guitars.
