The 614-ce Grand Auditorium is a visual standout. The bold sounds of Big Leaf maple and Sitka spruce are enhanced by Taylor's Grand Auditorium body design in this acoustic/electric standout. A signature quality of Big Leaf maple, besides its crisp, bright tone, is its ability to cut through on stage. As a result, you’ll find many 600 Series guitars in live performance situations, easily able to hold their own with the rest of the band. Its jaw-dropping maple figure is also available in Blueburst, Cherry Sunburst, Cherry Black Sunburst, Ruby Red Burst, Honey Sunburst and Tobacco Sunburst finishes, but here we present the 614-ce in all of it's natural glory.
It's worthwhile to note a few of Taylor's inovations to acoustic electric guitars. Taylor's Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Rupert Neve, the Taylor Expression System is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar to capture top and string vibration. Also, Taylor's innovative ultra violet-cured finish is more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes, and was developed for resistance to cold-checking and maximum durability.
