Seymour Duncan Antiquity Jass Bass Pickup Set
Seymour Duncan has successfully captured the sound of the 50's Jazz Basses with their Antiquity Jazz Bass set. Each Antiquity pickup is hand-crafted in Santa Barbara from the same materials and the same production techniques as the originals, using a “scatter wind” process that captures the original winding patterns in a way no machine can duplicate.
The bobbins are carefully aged and impregnated with fine dust particles, the Alnico II magnets are ever-so-slightly demagnetized, and the wire and insulation are treated to duplicate the tempering of years of use. The neck position is wound "top going" and North polarity. The bridge position is wound "top coming" and South polarity. When used in combination with each other the pickups will be hum-canceling. Hookup wire is the classic "push back" c braid wire.
- Bridge output 8.9k
- Neck output 8.6k
- Alnico II magnets, slightly demagnetized
- Reverse polarities for hum cancelling when both pickups are on.
