The G&L Custom Creations Department was established with the idea that the craftsmen who lovingly build G&L instruments should have the freedom to explore new ways to express what a G&L instrument can be. The Korina Collection brings the latest stunning instruments from the Custom Creations Department, the result of authentic collaboration amongst passionate musicians sharing ideas on the shop floor.

It feature a 2-piece Korina bodies and Pao Ferro fretboards on Quartersawn Eastern Maple necks. Sporting sumptuous finishes and cosmetic appointments to highlight the natural beauty of these tone woods, the G&L Korina Collection is proudly made in the USA at G&L’s factory on Fender Ave. in Fullerton, California.

The Korina Collection concept all started with looking at a collector’s version of the ASAT Classic Bluesboy. From hip hop to alternative to straight-ahead American rock ‘n roll, the Bluesboy delivers the goods, and the marriage of the Seymour Duncan Seth Lover neck humbucker to the single coil G&L Magnetic Field Design bridge pickup is a match made in heaven. Just ask George Pajon, Jr. of the Black Eyed Peas, Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie, or Brad Whitford of Aerosmith. Having experimented with Mahogany on a Bluesboy, a question persisted: How about Korina? Would the magic still be there? Absolutely.
