After spending years submerged, this sinker redwood top was cut, cured and hand selected to become the soundboard to this custom Taylor "Build to Order" Grand Auditorium. Ovangkol, a beautiful, hard tone wood out of Africa, lends exotic flare and clarity, and produces a sound many find similar to Indian rosewood, but with it's own subtle and distintive characteristics. A very interesting tonal combination.
