The new Studio is an extremely versatile guitar with the looks and tone you'd expect from PRS. Cosmetically, this guitar looks beautiful. Tonally, there are so many possibilities it's hard to describe all of them. The 57/08 humbucker has that classic 50's humbucker sound, but pull the tone control to tap the coil, and this pickup approaches the bite of a country single coil. The 57/08 Narrowfield neck and middle pickups sound like classic single coils when the guitar's volume is rolled down, and at full volume are rich and full like P90s, but without the hum.
Add the rest of the icing to the cake, like the V12 finish, Pattern Thin neck carve, bird inlays, plus a trem, and locking tuners, and we now have an incredible guitar!
