This is a great playing awesome sounding 1999 Hamer Studio in Amber color that also has a killer Flame Maple top. The finish on the back of the neck was removed carefully and then tung oiled by the original owner. The finish has been removed from the nut to the 16th fret. It's kind of like the "Zakk Wylde" style Les Pauls that have no finish on the back of the neck.
The Studio series was a landmark design for Hamer, and remains one of the most popular instruments in their range. Crafted from Honduran mahogany and topped with figured maple, it set a standard for high-end designs. The controls are laid out logically and positioned to accommodate the natural arc of the player’s hand. All this, before the word ‘ergonomic’ entered the dictionary.
