You're looking at a 1991 Gibson ES-335-DOT in a beautiful Vintage Sunburst finish, with two original '57 Classic Humbuckers. This popular thin-line,
semi-hollow body has a super fast slim-taper neck that joins the body at the 19th fret, and a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The original 22 frets still have plenty of play in them. The finish has light checking throughout and a few nicks on the back side near the strap pin. The low-profile nickel plated Grover tuners and tune-o-matic bridge complete this fine instrument. The volume and tone knobs are the only items that are not original. It looks good, feels good, and sounds good, too. Really takes you back to the days!
In 1990 Gibson discontinued the reissue of the 1960 ES-335 and replaced it in 1991 with the reissue of their original design of the 1959 ES-335-DOT, which remains in production to this day. That makes this guitar a first-year reissue!
The Gibson ES-335 was the first semi-hollow body guitar ever produced when it was introdced in 1958. It is considered by many as the best all around guitar in the world because of it's versatility, woodiness warm sound, and sustain. The ES-335 is cherished by many great artists such as BB-King, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Ritchie Blackmore, and Joe Perry, just to name a few.
