Epiphone ES 175 Reissue Vintage Sunburst
Epiphone is proud to present a faithful reissue of the classic ES-175.
This fully hollow "mid-size" jazzbox is actually versatile enough for any genre with nice, crisp archtop tone from its all-maple construction even though its origins are from Jazz’s golden age.
Historical Roots: The ES-175 was born in 1949 and was Gibson’s mid-size, mid-price sister to the L-5 and their first Florentine (sharp) cutaway model archtop. Eight years later in 1957 with the advent of the Humbucker pickup, the ES-175 became a very popular and mainstay model especially for those guitarists looking for “Wes Montgomery” L-5 sound at a lower cost.
Epiphone Scratches The Itch: Today Epiphone, the world’s most popular archtop brand, makes this time-honored workhorse even more accessible with the ES-175 Reissue. Constructed with the traditional laminated Maple body with hand-fitted, glued-in Mahogany Maple, it is poised to come alive with the very first note you play.
Made From The Best Components: The guitar features Alnico Classic Humbucker pickups, traditional floating Rosewood base supporting its fully-adjustable Tune-o-matic bridge, a bound Rosewood fingerboard with attractive split-parallelogram inlay and superior 16:1 ratio Grover machine heads for long-lasting, dependable tuning stability and accuracty. Controls feature 1-bridge volume, 1-neck volume, 1-bridge tone and 1-neck tone - all equipped with Epiphone’s full-size 1” 500K ? potentiometers. Rounding out the controls is an all metal pickup selector switch and a premium, rim-mounted output jack.
Quality Comes With Piece of Mind: The Epiphone ES-175 Reissue is backed by the famous Epiphone Lifetime Limited Warranty featuring Gibson 24/7/360 Customer Service and guarantees the instrument against defects in materials or workmanship.
