Rainbow Guitars has now teamed up with the Gibson Custom Shop to bring you some of the finest guitars ever produced. These instruments with its flawless craftsmanship and new and innovative details were helped developed by us at Rainbow Guitars. With 40 years of experience selling, playing and recording with Gibson guitars we have recently joined with Gibson Custom to share our ideas and expertise. These new Gibson Les Pauls are truly beyond compare and can only be found at a handful of very select dealers in the USA and Rainbow is very proud to be one.
We started by attempting to get the pickups to closely resemble the tone of what some of our favorite 1958-1960 "PAF" guitars sound like now. By under winding Gibson's new Custom Bucker pickup to a specified spec and comparing it to other guitars with original "PAF" pickups Gibson has brought back the clarity and sweet high end that everyone has been searching for. We also suggested using the TonePros long studs and posts which will give a bit more sustain to this already beautifully sounding guitar. This 1960 Les Paul has a version 2 style neck which has been called one of the most comfortable neck shapes on any Les Paul. Not too fat and not too thin. We specified the Kentucky Bourbon Fade Gloss finish on this guitar to give it the timelless and classic appearance.
Along with all the new 2013 features such as 1-piece dark rosewood fingerboards, the aniline dye stained mahogany body and neck, hide-glue fitted neck and redesigned period correct Kluson “Deluxe” tuners Gibson Custom has delivered the new "Standard" in Les Pauls.
