This first version of the Gibson Firebird with it's futuristic design was launched in 1963 and dicountinued in 1965. It features the classic offset body styling and neck-through-body design for increased sustain and solid attack. The Gibson Custom Shop In Nashville made this amazing reproduction of the classic Firebird V with Maestro "Lyre" vibrato and nickle parts as close to the original as we are going to get. The neck shape and playabilty of this instrument is off the charts.
