This guitar really makes me smile every time I look at it. The Maple fretboard, with this body shape, reminds me of a guitar I played as a youngster when I was just starting to pursue my “Rock n Roll dreams”.
Rainbow has taken that vintage look to a new level of playability with the Fano SP6. This fine instrument feature a light weight Swamp Ash body, tall skinny frets, a worn “back of neck” finish, and killer Fralin pickups.
The SP6 also features a superior bridge assembly, which has a lot of mass to it, and has been redesigned for modern day players. The sides of the ashtray have been removed for better accessibility to the strings, and the brass saddles have beveled tops that create a truly intonated “3 brass saddle” bridge.
