Seth Lover invented the classic humbucker and Seymour Dubncan's Seth Lover pickups are authentic, great PAF sounding pickups. They are excellent for country, jazz, blues and classic rock.

Designed jointly by Seymour and the late Seth Lover, they utilize a nickel silver cover and long-legged nickel silver bottom plate, butyrate plastic bobbins, plain enamel wire, Alnico 2 bar, wooden spacer, and black paper tape, just like the original PAF's. To be completely true to the original design and tone, the pickup is not wax potted. The tone is vintage P.A.F. The unpotted coils give a slightly "honky" microphonic quality.

Unpotted pickups are not recommended for use with ultra high gain tube amplifiers at very high volume as they can be susceptible to unwanted feedback.
