Original pickups is many Les Paul models over the last several years, the BurstBucker Pro adds Alnico 5 magnets to the original BurstBucker design, which captured the subtle variations in true humbucker tone thanks to historically accurate "unmatched" bobbins. The BurstBucker Pro delivers rich, smooth low end response along with a complex, satisfying midrange crunch. The hotter bridge model has clear high end bite and sustain. These pickups sound great clean or they can be used to push your amp into overdrive for the fat, smoky sound you can only get with a humbucker.
