The Fishman Rare Earth Blend Soundhole Pickup blends a humbucking pickup with an electret condenser microphone for capturing both the initial attack and sound chamber resonance for true acoustic tone plus power and projection. The pickup is easy to install. For unequalled sound quality and ease of use, it's hard to beat the performance of the Rare Earth pickups. Cutting-edge neodymium magnets provide excellent string-to-string balance while the pickup's active electronics and low-noise, discrete circuitry design keep the sound pure and clean.
The design of the Fishman Rare Earth Blend Acoustic Guitar pickup is really innovative- the very small batteries clip in to the underside of the actual pickup housing so that no external clips or battery holders are needed and it is very easy to replace the batteries. A volume control wheel and blend wheel (which blends the mic and magnetic pickup) is also part of the housing.
