Digitech Hardwire Tube Overdrive

Digitech keeps surprising me. Recently they came out with their DNA chip to power their RP series of multieffects and the results were fantastic. Now they are making a giant leap in the single pedal field. I tried the first released Hardwire series pedals - The Tube Overdrive and the Metal Distortion. In both cases the tone and "presence" of the processed sound was right up there with more expensive pedals. The Tube Overdrive was especially smooth and definitely "tubey." The pedals are also true bypass when switched off - a featuire you don't normally see in this price range. I recommend them both highly.
